It has been a frustrating time on the football front since the return from the mid-winter break, with only 110 games being played in the eight Sundays in January and February.
Results-wise it was a so so period for our teams, winning 45.5%, drawing 10% and losing 45.5% of our matches. On the plus side we had three teams with a 100% record, the U9 Colts, U10 Girls and the Seniors.
The runaway winners of Manager of the Month for January/February though goes to Roger Blitz and Peter Small of the U9 Colts, who on their way to winning their five games scored an impressive 38 goals whilst only conceding 1.

The run away winners of the November/December Manager of the Month award goes to Ben Fosuhene and his admin assistant Lisa Chelli of the U11 Juniors.
They remained unbeaten for the duration, winning 5 and drawing 1 of their 6 games played, whilst scoring a magnificent 32 goals and only conceding 7.

Due to two weekends being virtually wiped out due to the weather, the Management Committee have decided to carry over the results that were played to Decembers Manger of the Month.
Another good month for Barnes Eagles teams with three teams unbeaten (U10 Eagles, Seniors & U16 Eagles) and three teams with a 100% record (U10 Girls, U18 Eagles & U9 Colts).
Although the U10 Girls have an unblemished record so far this season, it was felt that because they had only played two games in October, they couldn't be considered for MoM.
So it came down to U18 Eagles and the U9 Colts, who could only be seperated by a vote between the MC as they are both worthy of the award. It was a split decision but I am pleased to announce that the U9 Colts have won Octobers Manager of the Month award.
This is a big credit to Roger and Peter who only formed this team during the close season. Well done to all.

Wow, what a start it has been for Barnes Eagles teams. Six teams with a 100% record, U10 Girls, U11 Eagles, U11 Juniors, U16 Girls, U18 Eagles and the Seniors. We also have two teams who remain unbeaten, U9 Colts and U13 Girls.
It has been goals galore for our teams too, with an incredible 321 put past the opposition goalkeepers!
To top it off, we have a bit of history in the making with a girls management team taking the top honours. Take a bow Clare Simpson & Chris Jones of the U16 Girls, who are flying high in Division One. Winning all their four games scoring 41 and only conceding 5. Keep up the good work Clare and Chris.
